The Flu: Some Years are Worse than Others

Health Insurance Companies Process 1 in 5 Claims Wrong

The Flu and You

This has been a bad year for the flu. Compared to last year hospitalizations due to the  influenza virus are up 169%. For kids in school and especially college students living in dorms or even larger families living all in the same house, transferring germs between each other becomes very easy and quickly spreads the virus. Before you know it everyone is infected.

The infographic below looks at how many people get the flu and how it affects us from year to year. Getting the flu shot can decrease your chance of getting the flu by 60%.  I’m all for that.

  1. Hi My name is Michele,

I have just started a service in the medical field. I provide blood work up screenings to corporations and individuals, along with health screenings, I also have my nurses administer immunizations. What I would like to do is bill the companies insurance company, so these services can not dip into the pockets of the companies or employees.

By my company being a small company, my resources does not allow me to wait on funds no longer than 30 days. Can you help me get started, or how I should approach my clients concerning billing? Your site is very helpful, but I need more info if you should have it.
